Rico

Rico, or Biscuit as he is sometimes referred, is from Amman, Jordan. He is a street cat and came from the U.S. Embassy compound.

My sister, who is an avid cat lover, talked my mom into fostering a kitten, as she wanted to get her kitten cuddles in while socializing them to family life, so they can get adopted out.

However, Rico’s life started out very challenging. As a very small kitten, he was found on the embassy compound fighting for his life as he had a bad case of ringworm that had taken over his entire body. The “Cattache” at the Embassy took him to the vet, where he lived and slowly got better over the next six weeks, when the vet said he could be picked up. As my sister was looking for a kitten, we picked him up from the vet and brought him home. He still had missing fur, and we had to give him anti-fungal medicine baths and shots
